The inside of your home is a reflection of your own personal style and taste so why not extend this to your outside living space.  There are a host of excellent products on the market that will not only suit any colour scheme or theme, but also every budget.  Patio cushions or outdoor cushions represent a financial investment so you want products that will be durable, hardwearing and will look good for as long as you have them.

Whichever patio cushions or outdoor floor cushions you select they need to be durable, waterproof, stain and fade resistant and of course inviting and comfortable.  Consider the filling of the patio cushions, will it allow any rain water to drain through without being absorbed into the fibres?  This will stop the filling rotting over time and any water stains forming on the outer layers.  Ensuring that the patio cushions are made of a breathable fabric will reduce any drying time needed and prohibit the build up of mould and mildew.

Outdoor floor cushions provide extra seating for any occasion and can be just as useful indoors.  With wipe clean covers and waterproof backing they offer a laid back, versatile alternative to more structured patio furniture.  Outdoor floor cushions can be placed anywhere in the garden, allowing you to drag your floor cushions around the garden as the sun moves throughout the day, however most will need nothing more than a wipe clean with warm soapy water to stay looking their best.

Just as you would if you were buying any soft furnishing for the inside of the house, make sure the items you purchase meet the UK fire retardent standards and are match resistant, especially if you are planning on using them near the barbecue.
