Nothing stays clean in a house where people live. If you live in a house and you and your family are using the cushions then it is not surprising for the cushions to get dirty eventually. Unless you wrap your cushions with plastic, cushions can get dirty anytime. Do not worry if your cushions get dirty because cushions are easy to clean. Do not fret because no matter how careful you are your cushions cannot stay clean forever because to do this you will have to prohibit everybody from sitting on your sofa or on your chair.

Cleaning your cushions is easy. Here are some simple steps to follow.

1. Use your vacuum cleaner. Yes, you can use your vacuum cleaner to clean your cushions. All you have to do is use the attachment that comes with your vacuum cleaner. Use this attachment to clean food particles, dust, and crumbs.

2. If you have a dog in the house then a lint roller can also be a useful tool to clean your cushions. Dog hair has the tendency to stick on the cushion covers. Trying to remove these hairs by hand is tedious. To get rid of dog hair and fur all you have to do is roll the lint roller all-over the cushion.

3. To clean the cushions you can use a steam cleaner. If you do not have one you can always rent a steam cleaner at your local laundry shop. However, if you do not know how to use a steam cleaner you can always take your cushions to a laundry shop.

4. Another option includes washing the foam cushions using your washing machine. When using the washing machine make sure to set it on the gentle cycle. Wash the foam cushions one at a time.

After washing, dry the cushions using a rack or you can hang them outside and let the heat of the sun dry them. Before replacing the cushion cover, always ensure that the foam cushions are completely dry.
