Fitting Car Seat Covers

Shopping for new car seat covers is not as simple a job as you might think.  There are several things that you need to take into consideration before you buy.  Firstly, do you know the exact year and model of your vehicle.  If you are even a year out there could have been subtle design alterations made which will mean your new covers don't fit properly and end up moving around on the seats.

You need to take into account any head rests or arm rests that will not only interfere with the fitting of the seat covers but may render your choice invalid. Most replacement car seat covers simply slip on over the top of the seat to be secured beneath the chair with various hook fastenings, which should be invisible if the seat cover has been fitted correctly.

Try to find a set of car seat covers that compliment the interior of your car as this will improve the overall image of your vehicle.  Decide how much you are prepared to pay and stick to your budget, bear in mind that quality of course costs more, but with quality comes longevity and durability.  Cheaper products may need replacing far sooner than you think.  Look for products that are machine washable and stain resistant as well as meeting all of the required UK safety standards.  It is also important to look for a set of car seat covers that comes with a manufacturers warrenty or lifetime guarantee, in which case you will need to retain the receipt should it be needed in the future.
